A Semi-Detached Passive House Plan

This one may be of particular interest to our urban followers! We have a semi-detached project underway and have added the floorplan to our portfolio.

Semi-Detached Floorplan

The Two Rivers floorplan is designed for two semi-detached households, each with a single car garage.

These are nicely sized two-storey homes, each just over 2,000 square feet:

Unit A: 944 + 1,172 sq ft (2,116 total)
Unit B: 979 + 1,283 sq ft (2,262 total)

Both units include a ground floor with open plan kitchen, dining and living, a two-piece powder room, and a laundry room that’s adjacent to the garage entry.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom has an en-suite bath. There are three additional bedrooms and a study or bonus room.

There are also smartly designed mirror bathrooms for the remaining bedrooms, and this could easily become one larger bathroom.

Any of our floorplans can be tweaked to best suit your lifestyle.

We don’t yet have a cost analysis up on the website for this new floorplan, but we expect it will be popular, so it’s coming soon!

Hmm. I wonder if this plan could be adapted to create four-unit plus common area co-housing design. Tay Valley is working on developing a by-law that would recognize cohousing as-of-right, and given the demographic of the Lanark County area, I think this is a model whose time is about to come.

Is there a slab on grade single story semidetached model? About 1400 sq ft per unit? If so it would be great for seniors

    • Hi Peter, many thanks for your question! We only have a two-storey semi detached model at this point, but appreciate your comment. We typically develop new models/floorplans in response to a specific client need, and then we roll out the plan to share with all. We are generally receiving more requests about these types of models.
