Interior Photos for Hummingbird Model

We’re so pleased to have interior shots of a recently completed EkoBuilt passive house that uses our extremely popular Hummingbird plan. This super energy efficient bungalow has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and just a great sense of flow.

The plans include a statement wall of windows that also creates a tremendous sense of connection with the outside world. Not surprisingly, this plan is particularly popular with clients who’ve selected a location where nature features large.

Hummingbird House Plan

It’s all in the details for this simple yet very effective house plan:

  • Master bedroom with ensuite
  • 3 additional bedrooms
  • Second bath with shower near home’s entrance
  • Huge common living area with kitchen / dining / and living spaces focused along a statement wall of windows
  • Integrated screened in porch for outdoor living
  • Utility/laundry room
  • 1,916 sq ft
  • Build slab on grade or optional basement

This house plan is one of our most requested and was one of our first homes to be built in the United States (Lake Placid, New York).

See interior shots for this recently completed home on Round Lake in rural Ontario (near Pembroke) by EkoBuilt below.

The plan used in this build is slightly different than the main Hummingbird Plans on our Passive House Plans page.

I love the Hummingbird design. I would like to know if a walkout basement is possible and attached garage. What would the price be if possible. Thanks

    • Hello! The Hummingbird is absolutely one of our most popular designs, so glad you like it too. If your site has sloping ground, a walkout basement is always a great way to add more square footage. If that slope is south-facing, all the better! An attached garage is also always an option. May I email a quote to you?
