The community of Stittsville in the far west of Ottawa has been a bit of a hot spot for families and new builds. We were delighted to help one family create a fully passive home there recently by constructing the weathertight shell for the project.

• 3-bedroom, 3000 sq ft family home with walkout basement and attached garage.
• Heating/cooling managed by an electric Mitsubishi mini split heat pump
• ERV (fresh air machine) supplied by Zehnder. This is an amazing machine that should be in every passive home, it is 92% efficient at -15°C and has great humidity control features keeping the home between 50% and 60% humidity year-round.
• Siding is an engineered wood product made from entirely recycled material.
